Word for Today: Pouring Out Your Soul

Scripture: And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful F7 spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. 1 Sam 1:15

...I have poured out my soul before the Lord.

Hannah had some issues to deal with didn't she?  First she was without a child, which was considered a curse during the Old Testament time.  Secondly, her husband's other wife, who was also her rival, had children and "threw" it up in her face every chance she got.  Hannah had a good husband, although he didn't understand her.  He told her, "Why are you weeping about a child, when I am better to you than 10 sons."  Nonetheless, her outpour to God was because she felt that God had abandoned her.  The bible says that God closed her womb so that she could not bare children.  How many times have we felt that God has left us to deal with our issue alone.  But God has a greater plan for our lives, just as he had for Hannah.  Yes, it was painful for her to be ridiculed and talked about not only from her enemies and friends.  But even the priest thought that she was out of her mind and going insane.  She stood in the temple praying and crying out to God and Eli, the priest, thought she was drunk.  Hannah had great sorrow and anytime you have great sorrow it requires great worship and prayer.  As we all know, Hannah gave birth to one of the greatest prophets of all time, Samuel.  But not only did God reward her with a son, whom she gave to God for His service, but he gave her more children.

Prayer and worship will move the heavens.  What is it that you are facing in your life and you seem to be at a stand still.  God has not forgotten you and in fact He has a greater plan for your pain.

I dare you to began to pray and to worship God.  God will give you more glory for your pain, for the bible says that the suffering of this present time can not be compared to the GLORY that is to be revealed in us.

Have A Blessed Day!
